Noel Collier has found homes for a client with 40 llamas, a couple hunting for a haunted Victorian and a professional mermaid who needed a training pool in the backyard.
Now the Houston real estate agent has her own HGTV series, and she said the platform is proof “that God can open doors bigger than anything you could have imagined for yourself,” Collier shared on Instagram.
EXTREME BUYERS CLUB premiered Tuesday, July 21, on HGTV, with new episodes streaming the next day on HBO Max and Discovery+. The eight-episode series follows Collier as she steps into the lives of buyers with wish lists most agents wouldn’t touch, then hunts down properties strange enough to match, according to HGTV.
The premiere alone features a woman with 40 llamas and a kangaroo searching for enough acreage to house them all, plus a couple prepping for doomsday with a request for an underground bunker. Later episodes bring in scuba instructors and a man who bought a plane before realizing he had nowhere to park it, per HGTV’s rundown and an exclusive first look at the trailer from Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
“My specialty as a real estate agent is helping homebuyers with extreme requests,” Collier told Cheat Sheet. She’s not above asking a few questions of her own, though — in the trailer, she presses a client wanting to keep llamas indoors: “Will these llamas open the refrigerator? Will they be potty-trained? You living in the house — are you paying bills, llama?”

The jokes aside, Collier’s path to her own show wasn’t quick or easy. She became a single mother at 16 and was living on her own from that age, growing up in a small town outside Houston with a population of around 4,000, she told Houston Life. She said her faith kept her grounded through years of juggling multiple jobs, work that eventually built the confidence viewers now see on screen.
Collier earned a marketing degree from Texas Southern University before building her real estate career, and she’s spent more than a decade in the business — the last several years as founder and CEO of the Noel Collier Group. She didn’t set out to become the go-to agent for outrageous requests, she said; it came down to positioning herself and staying ready when opportunity arrived, per Houston Life.
That perspective shows up in how she talks about the show itself. “What started as years of building my business, serving clients, staying disciplined, walking by faith, and believing in a bigger vision has now turned into a national television platform,” she wrote, calling it “beyond my wildest dreams” to host a show on a network she’s “watched, admired, and respected for years,” per Black Enterprise. “It represents sacrifice, growth, resilience, obedience,” she added.
Collier told Black Enterprise she wants ordinary homebuyers to walk away with the same practical wisdom she gives her most unconventional clients: think past today’s needs, treat a first home as a foundation rather than a finish line, and stay flexible when the process throws a curveball. “Very few transactions are completely perfect,” she said. “Temporary obstacles don’t necessarily mean you’ve found the wrong home; they’re often just part of getting to the right one.”
It’s a message that lands even when the client isn’t chasing a mermaid lagoon or a bunker. Collier’s willingness to take buyers seriously comes across less like a reality-TV gimmick and more like an extension of what she says drives her: a belief that everyone deserves a shot at a home that fits their life, no matter how unusual that life looks from the outside.
“Everyone deserves their dream home,” Collier told Cheat Sheet, “no matter how unique their lifestyle.”
