Acceptability
Wholesome entertainment the whole family can watch together. Little or no objectionable content, with morally uplifting or redemptive themes.
Fine for middle school and up. For elementary-age kids and under, parents should use discernment — mild language, scares, or mature themes. Our review tells you exactly what, so you can decide and discuss it with your kids.
Strong content — violence, language, sexual content, or mature worldview problems. Not for children or young teens; discerning adults should know exactly what they’re walking into.
Excessive violence, language, sexual content, or worldviews that undermine faith and family. We review it so you don’t have to watch it.
Intentionally blasphemous, evil, or grossly immoral. Never worth watching — we review it so you can steer clear.
Quality
1–4 stars, judged separately from content
Quality measures craftsmanship — writing, acting, direction, production value. A film can be beautifully made and still earn Caution, or family-safe but poorly made. That’s why we always show you both.
