FIXER TO FABULOUS stars Jenny and Dave Marrs are rallying support for Teal Esmeyer’s family as the little girl faces further cancer treatment and her mother faces a medical challenge of her own.

“I know we can’t help everyone going through a hard time, but we can always help the one God puts in our path,” Jenny wrote in an Oct. 26 Instagram update, describing the couple’s efforts to help the family whose home they renovated in 24 hours.

The new appeal goes beyond the prayer request Jenny shared earlier this month. The couple has opened a giving page, offered a giveaway and pledged a portion of sales at their two stores to help the Esmeyers through another difficult stretch.

According to the Support Teal fundraiser hosted by The Marrs Fund, 9-year-old Teal’s latest MRI showed significant progression of one of her brain tumors. The page says she will receive further radiation treatment and stay at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for at least a month. The family hopes that treatment can slow the progression and give Teal more good time feeling like herself.

Jenny shared another hard update about the family.

“Teal’s beautiful momma, Dru, is now battling a serious health journey of her own. She needs to have surgery but also needs to spend every second with her daughter,” the HGTV host shared, asking followers to pray for the family and their doctors.

For the Marrses, this is a family they already know and love. In her January account of the Esmeyers’ renovation, Jenny described how volunteer organizer and former St. Jude patient Jay Cobb brought together donors and more than 150 volunteers for a 24-hour build.

The project included a kitchen makeover, a pool Teal had wanted and a princess-inspired playhouse with space for her artwork. Now the couple is asking their community to help in a different way, easing financial pressure so the family can focus on being together and caring for Teal.

To help support the family, Dave and Jenny launched a giveaway, including a two-night stay at the Welcome Inn, a day on set for a Nov. 11 reveal and a shopping gift card among the giveaway prizes. She said they plan to draw a winner Oct. 30 and explicitly noted that people do not need to donate to enter; they can also comment on the post.

By Oct. 26, Jenny was thanking followers for their generosity. She also announced that Marrs Mercantile and Marrs on Main would donate a portion of that week’s in-store and online sales to the family.

“What a beautiful reminder that God can turn our gifts into an outpouring of provision,” Jenny wrote, pointing readers back to the giving page and asking them to keep sharing it.

Please keep the Esmeyer family in your prayers.
