Forrest Frank expected his son’s first trip to Disney to be about Lightning McQueen, but the family outing turned into a call for security when fans crowded around the Christian singer-songwriter.
“It was like a zombie apocalypse or something,” Frank said in a June 2025 interview, remembering how his family retreated to a corner as people called his name.
Frank shared the story on episode 100 of the “Bryce Crawford Podcast.” He and his wife had brought their son to Disney for the first time, eager to watch the boy take in a place connected to one of his favorite characters.
“We can’t really go anywhere anymore,” Frank told podcast host Bryce Crawford. He quickly added that he understood why listeners wanted to meet him and appreciated their excitement.
That day, though, the crowd went far beyond a few quick hellos. Frank said his heart started pounding as his family moved away from the rush.
“I had to, like, call my manager. He called security,” he recalled, describing a scene that forced the family to pause its visit.

The moment left Frank confronting what fame asks of his family. The Recording Academy’s current artist profile lists three GRAMMY Award nominations, including recognition for his albums CHILD OF GOD and CHILD OF GOD II and his song “YOUR WAY’S BETTER.”
Billboard reported that “YOUR WAY’S BETTER” reached No. 1 on the Hot Christian Songs chart in May 2025, while CHILD OF GOD II debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200. His representatives at Shore Fire Media said his 2026 JESUS GENERATION TOUR sold more than 470,000 tickets.
“I’m okay stopping here,” Frank said as he considered how much larger his platform should become. A beat later, he acknowledged the other side of the tension: lives were changing through the music, and children’s joy in it meant more to him than any other response.
Frank has made similar choices before. In a January 2025 interview with the Recording Academy, he said he and his wife began turning down lucrative performance offers because they did not feel right, and the quieter season gave them time to welcome their first child and led him toward explicitly Christian music.
“My wife calls me. She’s like, ‘Where are you? I need you’,” Frank told Crawford. He described the pull between ministry and family, then said he was using a 30-day journal to seek direction about what should come next.
Frank offered no neat career announcement. He did make one conviction plain: his ministry cannot ask his family to absorb a cost they never chose.
“I don’t want my dream to affect someone else when it’s not their dream,” he said, explaining that constant public access was not his son’s dream or his wife’s.
For now, Frank remains grateful for the people his music reaches and honest about what the attention costs.
“If I could turn it on and off, that would be insane. That would be amazing,” he said.
Frank explained that he would happily talk and take pictures during set hours, but family time does not come with an on-off switch.
“But then it’s like, how do you do that with the fam?” he asked.
