STYLED WITH LOVE
A bright, kindhearted romance about ambition, love, and second chances.
Should You Watch It?
Styled With Love is one of the better UPtv offerings: a bouncy, good-natured romantic comedy with appealing characters, strong dialogue, light humor, and touching moments. Its conflict is personal rather than dramatic, centering on a young woman whose career ambition begins to compete with her relationships.
The movie also offers a generous moral vision. It values helping others, kindness, family, personal growth, love, repentance, and forgiveness. Its message is positive without becoming pretentious, preachy, or heavy-handed.
If your family wants a gentle romantic comedy with warmth and wholesome lessons, this is worth the trip.
The Story
NO SPOILERS — WE KEEP THE SURPRISESRosie Pink moves to Chicago to open her own personal styling business, inspired by her grandmother, a seamstress who supported her fashion dreams. Her friend introduces her to Jaxon, a photographer who needs better material for his portfolio.
Rosie and Jaxon agree to work together. He will photograph Rosie with her customers, helping her market the business while improving his portfolio. As their partnership develops, Rosie must balance her growing opportunities in fashion with her friendships, family, and feelings for Jaxon.
Is It Any Good?
Four stars means this is a particularly strong example of its kind. Styled With Love is well written and well acted, with appealing characters, strong dialogue, light humor, and touching moments.
The movie makes up for its seemingly light jeopardy with engaging personal conflict. Its “meet cute” is funny, and the story avoids relying on a romantic rival. Instead, the heroine’s own drive to succeed becomes the force that threatens her relationships.
The result is a breezy, lighthearted romantic comedy that still has something meaningful to say about ambition, maturity, and love.
The Worldview
Styled With Love contains no faith content, but it presents a strong moral worldview. It stresses helping other people, personal growth, being a good friend, love, and honoring family.
Rosie does more than help people with fashion. She encourages them to build self-confidence, take risks, overcome fears, and become more well-rounded. The film’s central irony is that she must eventually apply that same advice to herself. Career ambition and fame cannot replace personal and family relationships.
The story also affirms repentance and forgiveness. A hurtful comment damages a relationship, but admitting wrong and offering forgiveness help set things right. The movie presents these ideas in a personal, human way rather than grounding them in explicit Christian faith.
That emphasis on forgiveness aligns with Scripture: “forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive” (Colossians 3:13).
