ARTHUR THE KING is a drama about a professional world adventure racer whose life is changed when he finds that a dog is following him along the path. ARTHUR THE KING is a feel-good movie, an unforgettable adventure, with a strong moral, redemptive worldview stressing laying down your life for someone else, love and working with other people, but the movie has lots of PG-13 foul language, so caution is advised.
Michael has traveled the world doing adventure racing. The last race he did he allowed his pride to get in the way. Now, no company will sponsor him to do his final race. Finally, however, he finds a company that says they will sponsor him, but only if Leo, a runner, will go alongside him and use his Instagram as coverage.
Leo and Michael fought on their last run, so this may cause an issue. Michael is willing to go and try and ask Leo to come do the race. However, he’s not looking forward to having to say he’s sorry for his ego in the past race.
Leo decides to come alongside Michael and do the race. The team also consists of a young woman, named Olivia, who is racing for her father, who competed for years. Her father is terminally ill and wants to see her succeed before he dies. Also, Chik, an older gentleman with a bad knee, accompanies them. With all these disparate characters, they do seem like an underdog team.
As the race starts, Michael sees a straggly, haggard-looking dog. He decides to feed him a meatball. The group continues, and the dog follows after them. Even in scenarios where it seems impossible, the dog shows up.
Will this dog help them go the right way? Will the team of underdogs be able to make it through and win the race?
ARTHUR THE KING is a feel good movie that will make audiences want to go along the ride themselves. The movie shows the hardships of adventure racing, but also has some fun parts to it as well. Overall, ARTHUR THE KING is a well-made movie for audiences to enjoy.
