Here's the good news up front: this is a genuinely funny, genuinely warm sitcom, and it treats faith as a normal, welcome part of an ordinary family's life rather than a punchline. Leanne Morgan's stand-up instincts translate well to the screen, and the show doesn't rush past the real grief of a 33-year marriage ending — it lets the comedy and the heartbreak share the same scene.

The caution isn't about tone; it's about content. Two obscenities, some bathroom humor, and a handful of suggestive jokes about affairs and dating mean this isn't a show for younger kids. Alcohol shows up more than once. None of it is heavy by sitcom standards, but it's there.

For teens and adults, this is an easy, worthwhile watch — funny, honest, and unusually kind to its characters' faith. For younger viewers, wait until they're older.

Leanne Morgan's comedy chops carry the show, and she's given real support by Kristen Johnston, Ryan Stiles, Celia Weston, and Blake Clark. The writing balances two hard things well — Morgan's jokes and her character's genuine sadness never crowd each other out.

It's early days; only three episodes exist so far, and it's fair to wonder whether the show can sustain this balance the way other sitcoms with occasional Christian references, like Last Man Standing, have managed over time. But as a pilot run, it's confident, warm, and well-acted — a promising four-star start rather than a finished verdict on the series.

This is a show that takes faith seriously without making a show of it. Leanne and her sister work a bake sale at their church. She talks about her grandson's baptism. When their mother falls, the sisters pray together on the way to the hospital. None of it is preachy — it's just what this family does, and the show trusts the audience to notice.

The show is also honest about family strain. Leanne, Carol, and the children hide the divorce from the grandparents for two episodes, and that lie eventually catches up with them. It's presented as understandable, not admirable — a family protecting people they love, badly. That's a truer picture of family life than most sitcoms bother with, even if it's a small worldview quibble worth naming.

What the show gets right outweighs what it gets wrong: strong family bonds, a woman of real faith leaning on her church and her sister rather than falling apart alone, and a marriage's end treated with real weight instead of cheap laughs. Scripture speaks straight to that ache — "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Leanne's family gives her that nearness in human form; the show is better for showing it.

Three episodes in, Leanne has earned its four stars — it's funny, warm, and refreshingly comfortable with faith as a normal part of ordinary life.
