Should You Watch It?

Yes, you should. This movie is a Brazilian remake of the 2003 movie of the same name, sharing its powerful story of a man who changes his life and surrenders to God. The movie’s main story captivates and engages; viewers will be anxious to see how it ends! The cast also excels, delivering emotional performances that resonate with the audience.

It tells a faith-filled story, from beginning to end. The main character, Noah, finds God and surrenders completely to Him, allowing God to steer his life and change it for the better. The movie promotes redemption above all, showing it’s never too late to change your life and that God accepts us all, no matter how broken we might feel.

Some immoral behavior, like lying and cheating, appears in the film, but it is rebuked, and Noah makes amends for his past immorality. The movie is a great watch for everyone, though kids 10 and under may get bored by the grown-up plot.

The Story

NO SPOILERS — WE KEEP THE SURPRISES

Noah is a successful used-car salesman who will say anything to close a deal, even if it isn't true. When he sees a TV broadcast of a pastor telling viewers it is never too late to seek a relationship with God, Noah decides to change his life. He gets honest, mends his tense relationship with his wife and son, and devotes himself to God. When financial troubles hit, will Noah stand strong in his faith or fall back into old habits?

Is It Any Good?

Four stars for this inspiring movie, which shines with a moving script, heartfelt performances, and high production value. Lead actor Mario Bregieira delivers an excellent performance, convincingly portraying his character’s journey from early immorality to a genuine commitment to faith and doing what is right.

Based on the 2003 movie of the same name, this version moves the story to Brazil and incorporates modern touches, including social media references, while preserving the core themes fans of the original love. Its relatable struggles give the story emotional depth, inviting viewers to connect with the characters and their choices.

Ultimately, this moving drama reminds viewers that even when we lose our way, faith can lead us toward a life transformed by truth and a desire to do what is right.

The Worldview

A strong Christian worldview runs throughout the story, with a powerful message about redemption, repentance, and doing what is right. As Noah grows in his faith, he learns to make amends for his past sins, surrender his plans to God, and trust His guidance even when obedience comes at a cost. Characters also pray together, read the Bible, attend church, and discuss how faith shapes their daily lives.

The movie also depicts dishonesty and greed. Early on, Noah and his employees lie to customers about the quality of the cars they sell and charge unfair prices. When Noah decides to change, his employees leave the dealership to continue their dishonest practices elsewhere. One employee even appears on television to portray Noah as dishonest, leaving out the story of his changed heart.

However, Noah takes responsibility for his actions, apologizes to those he cheated, and repays the money he owes. His journey offers a compelling reminder that genuine repentance means more than admitting our mistakes. It means making things right and trusting God with the consequences.

There are also a few scenes of dysfunctional family dynamics, as Noah has strained relationships with his wife and son at the beginning of the movie, but these dynamics are repaired and strengthened through his strong faith.
