What You Need To Know

In COCOMELON LANE Season 2, JJ and his friends explore new adventures across the farm, classroom, store, and beyond. Throughout each venture, the friends sing and play together. COCOMELON LANE Season 2 consists of 5 episodes about 25 minutes each. This review covers episodes one through three.

Episode One begins with JJ and his two buddies playing with their toys in the playground. JJ shares that he will spend the day at work with his dad, a construction worker. JJ taps into his imagination, pretending he’s a crane while his friends imagine they are a unicorn dump truck and a dancing cement maker. Together, they conjure up a giant tower.

JJ’s excitement soars as he heads to the construction site with his dad. His task is to help his dad build a giant alphabet block by placing the blocks in ABC order. However, frustration mounts because putting the blocks in order is challenging for JJ. He learns to manage his frustration with the guidance of his dad, who encourages him with the “Take a deep breath” song.

Next, in JJ Meets a Dinosaur”, JJ and Cody encounter a friendly dinosaur at a museum. The pals learn to deal with the disappointment of being unable to accomplish everything they want to during their visit. Lastly, “Nina’s Triple Ride” follows Nina and her friends on a bike ride, highlighting the fun of outdoor play.

In Episode Two, “JJ Gets a Checkup,” the story unfolds as JJ and his friends perform physical activities at the park. JJ has a check-up at the doctor’s office and wants to be as healthy as can be. JJ and his friends play pretend doctors, tending to imaginary injuries. When JJ goes to the doctor, he explores each part of the doctor’s room, feeling anxious and nervous. The doctor calms JJ down by explaining every part of the examination from the head, shoulders, knees, and toes.

Next up, “Cody’s First Train Ride, follows JJ and his friends going on their first train ride with Cody’s mom. Cody’s excitement turns into apprehension from the train’s loud noises and massive size. Cody’s mom guides him through his feelings by showing him where the noises originate. When Cody discovers the train’s workings, he overcomes his fears. Lastly, “Bella’s Butterfly Goodbye” features Bella bidding farewell to a beloved butterfly friend, highlighting the theme of acceptance.

The first segment in Episode Three is “JJ’s Bath Time for Bingo” and begins with JJ and his friends going to the pet rescue with JJ’s dad to give Bingo, JJ’s dog, a bath. Using their imagination, they pretend to give their favorite animals (a dinosaur, a cat, a mouse, and more) a bath. Bingo splashes JJ and his dad during a bath, annoying JJ with his disobedience. Once again, JJ’s dad helps him work through his frustrations.

In “Cece Goes Camping”, Cece embarks on her first camping trip with friends. She learns the basics of camping and encounters wildlife, celebrating the great outdoors. In “Nina’s Good Game”, Nina plays spirited sports games with her pals, learning the importance of teamwork by overcoming challenges.

COCOMELON LANE Season 2 includes bright animated colors and captivates children with engaging storylines. Each episode blends dances, songs and educational elements including shapes, numbers, and animals. The series focuses on emotional development through the guidance of the characters’ parents. A big piece of COCOMELON LANE highlights imagination and the power of play. However, COCOMELON LANE does promote the use of magic through unicorns.
