Country star Ella Langley is dominating the charts right now due to her authentic embrace of the classic elements of the genre, as well as her bold declarations of faith.
“Country music has proven that, more often than not, when music, above all else, is rooted in a strong sense of faith, family and fun, it appeals to a lowest and middle common denominator of Americans better than most any other stereotypical American thing,” country music journalist Marcus K. Dowling told Fox News. “From Patsy Cline singing ‘Crazy’ through to Dolly and ‘Jolene,’ Gretchen. Wilson’s ‘Redneck Woman’ and more, what Ella’s doing has a long lineage of always working when executed with intentionality, honesty, and precision.”
Meanwhile, Achilles PR founder Doug Eldridge pointed to Langley’s authentic connection with fans.
“Humility and self-deprecation go a long way when it comes to connecting with fans,” he explained. “In the end, authenticity is a lot like humidity — you can’t see it, but you can feel it; when you do, it’s undeniable. Langley has humidity and people embrace that. At this point, that’s what most of us want: real.”
The country star recently broke a major record — her hit song “Choosin’ Texas” is now the longest-running No. 1 song by a female artist this century.

Top country songwriter Ashley Gorley, whose credits include hits like “I Had Some Help,” “I Lived It” and “All American Girl,” told Billboard the track is “an instant country heartbreak classic.”
“There are no wasted notes or lyrics; it sounds completely authentic,” he explained. “As songwriters, we strive to write songs that feel fresh yet familiar, that remain true to their core and that people never get tired of listening to. I love songs that bring new listeners to country music, and I have never met anyone who doesn’t love this track, regardless of the genres they usually listen to.”
Langley might be experiencing a meteoric rise to the top of the charts, but the country singer is keeping true to her roots.
“Staying close to family and reading my Bible are what keeps me humble and grounded,” she told Southern Living.
Langley often shares her faith onstage. At a recent concert, the singer told the crowd, “The fact that we have a God that loves us is why you are good enough today…We’ll always fall short but always be good enough for that kind of love. I hope today that if you heard anything from me in this set tonight, I want you to feel that kind of love. Because there’s no one else in this world that can give it to you the way that our Lord and Savior can. That type of love.”
Langley’s authenticity and real connection with fans across the country have pushed her to the top of the charts.
