Former ESPN COLLEGE GAMEDAY analyst and former NFL star David Pollack asked his followers for prayers as his wife, Lindsey, undergoes a third surgery.
“We didn’t get the best news today at a doctor’s visit. Surgery #3 coming for my Babydoll(wifey). She looked at me and said God has been building me for this, and thank goodness it’s on a bye week so Nicholas doesn’t have a game,” Pollack wrote on X earlier this week.
The couple are parents to son Nicholas, 18, and daughter Leah, 16.
Lindsey has been battling brain cancer since March 2025. At the time, Pollack announced his wife’s diagnosis and shared that she underwent surgery at Duke that month, according to TODAY.com. A year later, he shared on Instagram that she was cancer-free.
While Pollack didn’t elaborate on what news the couple received at their most recent appointment, he said they’re holding onto faith and trusting that God will see them through.
“No blink! No doubt! No fear! Just Jesus! It’s humbling to watch. It doesn’t mean I’m not scared as hail, but man, the Peace of God is incredible,” he added on X.
The Pollacks are leaning on 2 Corinthians 12:9–10: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
“She is weak right now, but our God isn’t. If you are the praying type, we will take em all,” Pollack’s post concluded.

Lindsey’s cancer battle has pushed Pollack and his family to cling to God’s word, especially Mark 15:21, he revealed on the “Jesus Calling” podcast.
“Jesus was carrying the cross. He was getting beaten. And then it talked about a Simon from Cyrene was forced to carry the cross, that’s it. It says his sons, Alexander and Rufus, were there, and the man named Simon of Cyrene was forced to carry the cross, because obviously Jesus had been beaten and [was] bloody,” he described. “That verse just kept ringing over and over in our household, because there’s going to be a time in your life where you are forced to carry a cross you didn’t earn, you didn’t deserve and you don’t want.
“And here’s the thing — how are you going to carry it? Who helps us carry the cross? I think when you get that empathy about how you carry it and the struggles you go through, you help other people carry it,” Pollack continued. “But what’s always on that cross? Every time you pick it up, when Simon picked it up, the blood of Jesus was on that cross. And Jesus will be with you in every single circumstance. He will never leave you. He will never forsake you. And I’m not saying it’s going to make the cross easy to carry, but it will make it where you can carry it and you can do it.”
Please keep Lindsey and the Pollack family in your prayers as she undergoes another surgery.
