Jamie Campbell Bower’s upcoming role in THE LORD OF THE RINGS: RINGS OF POWER’s third season has officially been revealed — Celeborn, Elf lord, warrior and husband of Galadriel.
“This idea of longing and yearning is so pervasive in Tolkien’s relationship with Edith for the time that they were apart,” Bower said of how Tolkien’s relationship with his wife, Edith, inspired his character’s romantic relationship in an interview with Empire. “I really feasted on that idea. Celeborn has had to find a way to survive whilst longing for something that he so dearly loved and so dearly missed as well.”
Morfydd Clark, who plays Galadriel, also weighed in on the characters’ dynamic — “She’s kind of rude to him in the books. She’s the queen! But Jamie looks exactly like how I would imagine Celeborn. He’s such an Elf.”
Showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay praised Bower’s performance, including his “rich and hypnotic and sonorous” voice “that feels it has the wisdom of the ages buried inside of it,” per Payne.

“And then we did a chemistry read [with Clark], and instantly it just felt like he loved her so much. It felt so natural, and so organic, and so right,” he added.
In another interview with Empire, McKay teased what fans can expect from Season 3 of RINGS OF POWER.
“This is the season where Sauron makes the One Ring in the volcano,” he explained, saying Sauron’s introduction “changes the tone of the show.”
He continued, “This third season is darker, more dangerous. No one is safe. The first two seasons were all about building out this world. But throughout that time, we’re lighting all these fuses and setting all these stories in motion. The third season is when all those bombs are starting to explode.”
For any fans who are already looking ahead, never fear — The Hollywood Reporter revealed Prime Video is already unofficially starting work on Season 4.
“The show’s UK-based production is eyeing a schedule that includes preproduction on a fourth season this fall, with shooting to begin in early 2027,” THR reported but made it clear that “season four is not officially greenlit.”
However, it’s fair to assume the streamer will pick it up for another season as, in Prime Video’s own words, RINGS OF POWER “is one of the highest performing and most-viewed titles ever on Prime Video.”
THE LORD OF THE RINGS: RINGS OF POWER Season 3 premieres Nov. 11.
