HGTV hosts and married real estate developers Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary with a look back at the life they have built together, and Mika gave God the credit.

“Forever grateful God brought us together at just the right time,” Mika wrote in her anniversary tribute.

The 100 DAY DREAM HOME co-hosts marked the occasion on Oct. 10, sharing affectionate posts that put their marriage ahead of their television resumes. Mika’s message celebrated Brian as her husband, best friend and a loving presence in her daughter’s life.

“Happy 11th Anniversary to my best friend, incredible husband, and amazing bonus dad!” she wrote in the same post.

Her tribute included pictures of the couple over the years and Brian with her daughter, Jade, according to TV Insider. The pair married in 2015, five years before their flagship HGTV series premiered in 2020.

Brian approached his own message as a roll call of all the roles Mika plays in his life. His Instagram tribute named her as his high school crush, wife, co-host, business partner, teammate and best friend, ending with an emphatic declaration of her name.

That reference to high school comes with a small but important distinction: the two knew each other as teenagers, but they did not date then. They reconnected as adults, a history that makes Mika’s gratitude for the timing of their relationship especially personal.

Their beginnings were a little less polished than a television love story. In an HGTV interview about their life in Florida, the couple recalled meeting in a high school chorus class after an accidental seating arrangement put them beside each other.

“It was love at first sight,” Brian told HGTV.

Their Tampa-area life has included raising Jade and working together on homes, but the same interview also made room for ordinary family routines. Brian described a standing Saturday lunch with his grandfather at the cafe in his retirement community.

“Every Saturday, we have a tradition, and we eat lunch with my grandfather,” he said.

The couple also shared the places tied to their own milestones: Amelia Island, where Brian proposed, and Tampa’s Ulele restaurant, where they held their wedding reception after eloping. They spoke fondly of the sunsets they can enjoy right from their backyard.

“We stay so busy. A favorite date night for us is chilling at home,” Mika told HGTV.

Their work calendar will bring another shared challenge soon. HGTV has confirmed that the former ROCK THE BLOCK Season 2 champions will compete again in Season 8, which will take place just outside Nashville and premiere in early 2027.

Host Ty Pennington will oversee seven episodes as four teams tackle houses with matching floor plans and square footage but different exterior facades. Each team will have seven weeks and a $275,000 renovation budget to chase the highest appraised property value.

For now, though, the couple’s anniversary posts kept the attention on the partnership behind those projects.
