SPY KIDS star Alexa PenaVega has some advice for her fellow believers.
“Fear is from the enemy,” wrote PenaVega on Instagram on Aug. 26. “The enemy will do whatever it takes to shut you up. To ‘fear you out!’”
She encouraged her listeners to put their focus back on Jesus and remember who is the Lord of their lives.
“Pray for those who oppose you,” she continued. “’Spiritually’ that prayer has more impact than you can imagine. ‘Life and death are in the power of the tongue,’” she finished.
In the caption, she added, “Pray about everything. Worry about nothing.”

Two years ago, PenaVega shared that she tries to live by faith and by example for her children.
“The best way I could teach them about faith was just operating in my faith in front of them,” she said. “I pray out loud all the time. I’ll be cooking, and they’ll hear mama talking to God… And it’s really great because it’s gotten them to a place where they know they can go to God for absolutely anything and everything.”
A few years ago, PenaVega and her husband, Carlos, pulled their family away from Hollywood to Tennessee. PenaVega believes that’s where God called them.
“My job became my identity. God pulled me out of that so I could learn how to be an awesome mom and an awesome wife. God helped us build that foundation in our family. And once I had that revelation, I felt at peace,” she said.
She knew that God wanted them to move, but it wasn’t what she wanted.
“One day I was praying in my car and I suddenly had this revelation…We were moving for my heart,” the actress revealed. “I needed a heart reset. I was the one trapped in the entertainment world and needed to take a step back.”
She’s since said that she’s very happy they moved, and likes where they are right now. After her daughter, Indy, was born stillborn, she realized that they needed to be in Tennessee because they were previously living on a boat on the West Coast. She knew that God brought them there to have a solid home and support system while PenaVega went through health trials and while their family grieved.
Shortly after the move, PenaVega said, “I am so grateful with Gods timing on getting us off the boat and into a home. To be honest, He pulled us out of our comfort zone and now more than ever we have to trust and rely on him with everything…BUT, even in the confusion and with so many questions… we cannot wait for this new season with our growing familia.”
PenaVega and Carlos trust God and don’t give in to fear, and that’s encouraging.
