Candace Cameron Bure’s son Lev is starting his journey to become a preacher.
“I grew up going to church in Shepherd of the Hills Church in Los Angeles…[with] Pastor Dudley Rutherford,” he told CBN News of his decision. “And they kind of curated this really cool weekend where he had the idea on a Sunday service to gather three, four, five young preachers, young individuals and kind of split up this Sunday sermon.”
Lev said he’s not usually one to take “crazy chances” but decided to try giving a sermon.
“So that was my first opportunity to kind of be in the pulpit with four other young communicators and…preach at a church and for a few services,” he continued. “And that was kind of the start of it.”
The 26-year-old shared that he has had several other opportunities to preach and called it a “great privilege” to be able to do so.
“We all…get to be part of God’s mission to glorify Him and make Him known to the world,” he explained. “And we all get to do that, and millions of different ways, and I’m thankful that…this is a way that God’s allowed me to kind of be part of His mission, and I really enjoy it.”

Lev said, “I’m passionate about people knowing Jesus, and I’m passionate about being part of that mission. I think it’s why we as believers, we’re here…to glorify God and make Him known. And so, realistically, I think I’ve gotten to be part of that a little bit and through communicating His word, and so I’d love to see that grow.”
This isn’t the only exciting piece of news Lev shared recently; in May, he and his wife Elliott revealed they were expecting their first child.
“baby bure coming soon !!!!!!” Elliott posted on Instagram, along with photos of herself, Lev and their ultrasound images.
Bure’s daughter Natasha is also expecting her first child with husband Bradley Steven Perry.
“I am overwhelmed with joy right now!” the FULL HOUSE actress said in a statement after Natasha shared her news. “Becoming a grandmother is something I have dreamed about, and watching my daughter Natasha step into motherhood is one of the greatest gifts I have ever been given.”
Bure continued, “This year is already becoming one of the best of my life. Our family is so full of love and we can’t wait to welcome this precious little one — who already has the most wonderful parents.”
It looks like Bure’s children are getting ready to take some big steps in their lives as they continue to grow.
