FULL HOUSE actress and former THE VIEW cohost Candace Cameron Bure turned down a Season 30 guest-cohosting invitation because she wanted to be nearby when her daughter welcomed her first baby.
“I didn’t want to be far away and miss anything, but I’m definitely open to it,” Bure explained, per Entertainment Weekly.
The invitation landed at a particularly full moment for the actress. Her daughter, Natasha Bure Perry, and son-in-law, GOOD LUCK CHARLIE actor Bradley Steven Perry, welcomed daughter Winnie Helaine earlier this month, making Bure a grandmother again.
Bure told EW that THE VIEW offered her an appearance during the week her daughter gave birth. She had anticipated the baby’s arrival and did not want a trip away to mean missing those first family moments.
That does not mean she has ruled out sitting at the table again. Her answer leaves room for a guest-cohosting appearance on a different date, rather than announcing either a permanent return or a final goodbye to the show.
“Yeah, you might see me at the table. We’ll see. I feel open to it if they offer up another date,” Bure told EW.

THE VIEW began its milestone season on Sept. 8. In its season 30 announcement, ABC said the show would welcome its six regular cohosts back to the Hot Topics table and include former cohost Sherri Shepherd among its September guests.
Bure was a permanent panelist from 2015 to 2016, so an anniversary visit would bring her back to a familiar workplace. But a short visit and a daily commitment are two very different things, a distinction that matters when reading her latest comments.
As Movieguide® reported in October 2021, Bure previously told PEOPLE that she did not want a permanent seat again while also expressing affection for returning as a guest. She described lasting relationships with the people behind the show as well as the demands of the job and traveling between work and family.
Her current answer is still cautious, not a promise to sign back on. Asked by EW about being open to returning, she acknowledged that she remained unsure whether she really wanted to do it, even as she left the option on the table.
For now, the newest member of the family has supplied a much more immediate reason to stay close. Natasha announced Winnie’s arrival on Instagram on Oct. 6, sharing family photos and a brief message welcoming her little girl.
Winnie is not Bure’s first grandchild. Movieguide® previously reported that her son Lev Bure and daughter-in-law Elliott Bure welcomed son Bond Leo in August, giving the actress two new grandbabies to celebrate in a matter of months.
Bure is also appearing on Fox’s SPECIAL FORCES: WORLD’S TOUGHEST TEST, and she joked to EW that taking on that challenge might have prepared her for another visit to THE VIEW. Still, her reason for declining this particular invitation was straightforward: she wanted to be within reach for a milestone her family could experience only once.
