Candace Cameron Bure talked faith, family and FULL HOUSE in a recent interview celebrating her fifth decade.
“I think being on FULL HOUSE was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I made forever-friends and family, and [it] set me on a path of loving storytelling,” she told AARP. “Being a kid actor, I didn’t seek out to be in the spotlight. It was just something I really liked. I was born and raised in LA, and so it just kind of worked out to try it and do it. And so, I’m grateful for those formative years, and being on FULL HOUSE, and being around people that made the experience so positive, so joyful.”
Her experiences on FULL HOUSE now inform how she runs her own production company, with Bure saying, “I always make sure that that is the experience I’m giving people, no matter what age.”

The actress also spoke about her history making Christmas movies: “I love that I’ve made so many Christmas movies over the years, and produced many as well. I love bringing families together to co-view and watch, to laugh and cry and sit together, spend time together.”

Those family and faith values extend from her work to her personal life, with Bure sharing, “I would say if I have to prioritize things in my life, faith is always going to be first. My faith has been a huge part of my life since I was a young girl, and it just keeps getting stronger.”
Speaking about her family, she said, “I just want to spend time with the people that I love the most.”
In an interview with The Christian Post about turning 50, Bure shared, “You think about all the accomplishments in life, your goals, what you want to achieve, what you have achieved. Yet, as you get older, I know that turning 50 reminded me that the accomplishments and the goals aren’t what I consider successes in life.”
“I think about the legacy that I want to leave with my children, with my grandchildren, and publicly as a public person,” she continued. “That is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and sharing the love of God.”
Bure is preparing for some new additions to the family — son Lev and daughter Natasha are both preparing to welcome children with their respective spouses.
“I’m gonna be a Candy Gram!!!!!!,” the actress joked in an Instagram post of Natasha and husband Bradley Steven Perry announcing their pregnancy.
As Bure reflects on her life so far, faith and family remain at the core of everything she does, both personally and professionally.
