THE CHOSEN Season 6 is bringing its long-running storylines to the same unavoidable crossroads: the final day of Jesus’ earthly ministry.

“Season 6 is the culmination of every biblical notion that we’ve introduced since the show started,” THE CHOSEN executive producer and co-writer Ryan Swanson said in a YouTube video.

The new chapter will follow the historic events of Jesus’ final day through the lives of those who love Him and those who condemn Him. The season premieres on Prime Video Nov. 15, 2026.

The official press release said three episodes will debut that day, followed by weekly episodes through Dec. 6.

“It really is true that season 6 is where everyone and everything does reach a crossroads,” THE CHOSEN creator and director Dallas Jenkins said. The trailer sets that crossroads against a crowded Jerusalem, where more than a million people have gathered and the friends and enemies of Jesus are suddenly in the same place.

The preview also reaches back into the biblical text that has shaped the series. It includes Jesus’ words about giving up more than what is taken, His command to love enemies and pray for persecutors, and the prophecy that the shepherd will be struck and the sheep scattered. Those passages appear in Matthew 5 and Zechariah 13.

“The disciples are using what they have been built for these last few seasons,” actor Paras Patel, who plays Matthew, said. The question hanging over them is not whether they have heard Jesus’ teaching, but whether those words will hold when fear, betrayal and danger stop being ideas and become the next thing in front of them.

“It’s about keeping the group together now,” actor Joey Vahedi, who plays Thomas, explained. The trailer presents the disciples as a scattered flock with only the shepherd’s voice to hold them together, a picture that gives the season’s title treatment—The Crossroads—a spiritual weight beyond simple marketing.

“Fear is a very powerful thing,” the trailer says as the characters revisit promises they once made with confidence. One voice insists, “I would die for you,” while the surrounding scenes suggest that critical moments reveal instincts people cannot fully know until they are tested.

That pressure reaches into the relationship between Jesus and His mother, Mary. “All she can do is trust,” actor Vanessa Benavente, who plays Mother Mary, said, as the preview describes Mary searching for Jesus again and the caretaker role between them beginning to shift.

The trailer widens the scope from individual disciples to the meaning of the cross itself. The video says the cross reaches beyond the people around Jesus to the entire human race, moving the story from one city and one family toward the universal claim at the center of the Gospel.

Elijah Alexander, who plays Atticus, invited viewers to catch up on Seasons 1–5 through Prime Video and THE CHOSEN’s app. Alexander says that viewer support helps more people discover the series. “And as you know, the story of Jesus is meant to be shared,” he sid.

For Movieguide® readers, that is the clearest promise in the preview. THE CHOSEN Season 6 is not teasing a new beginning; it is showing viewers what happens when years of teaching, friendship, conflict and faith arrive at the moment they have been moving toward all along.
