G-FORCE
Tiny heroes, huge stakes, and a big-hearted family adventure.
Should You Watch It?
G-FORCE is the kind of family movie that invites laughter, tears of joy, compassion, and applause. Its tiny heroes face a world-threatening plot, but the film keeps its heart focused on sacrifice, loyalty, family, friendship, and recognizing your gifts and talents.
The adventure is fast-paced and packed with chases, thrills, and comedy. The film includes some political correctness about the treatment of animals, but the review notes that those ideas are refuted or mocked. Very young children may find parts of the action scary.
If your family wants an entertaining adventure with a strong moral center, WORTH THE TRIP.
The Story
NO SPOILERS — WE KEEP THE SURPRISESThree guinea pigs—Darwin, Juarez, and Blaster—and a mole named Speckles are trained by Dr. Ben Kendall to become FBI Special Agents known as the G-Force. When the program is discontinued, they are sent to Elia’s Pet Shop, where they discover what life is like as ordinary pets.
But an evil villain has secretly placed a computer chip called Clusterstorm in household appliances. The team must reunite and stop the chip before it destroys the world.
Is It Any Good?
Four stars means this is an immensely enjoyable family adventure that delivers on both entertainment and heart. The action is non-stop, the chase sequences are energetic, and the characters provide plenty of funny moments.
The all-star voice cast helps bring the guinea pigs and other characters to life. The movie also offers thrills and tears of joy and compassion, making it one of the few family films likely to inspire laughter, emotion, and applause from many viewers.
The Worldview
G-FORCE presents a strong moral, biblical worldview with a Christian emphasis on sacrifice, loyalty, and recognizing your intrinsic worth. Its heroes are committed to stopping evil, and the story underscores the importance of family and friendship. Individual initiative is extolled, while megalomania and an inept government “big brother” are refuted.
The film includes some political correctness related to the treatment of animals. The villain’s motivation is connected to the destruction of his underground home when humans built a golf course, but the review notes that the film refutes or mocks the politically correct points it raises.
The film’s emphasis on self-sacrifice reflects Jesus’ words: “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13).
