Tim Tebow is working with “a sense of urgency” as he continues to combat human trafficking around the world.

“The Tim Tebow Foundation, our mission statement is to go to hard places and be able to bring faith, hope and love, truly, to those in their darkest hour of need. Whether that is the orphan, the abandoned, the special needs, the trafficked — that is who we’ve been called to [help], and that’s where we believe God has called us,” he recently told Relevant. “And so, specifically, we’re so honored to now have 18 safe homes and 13 in the process of being built as well, and to be part of teams that are constantly in education and rescues and long-term restoration, and trying to build more and more every day.”

Tebow added, “We are continuing to try to expand and get into as many countries as possible.”

“We have to live with a sense of urgency, because so many kids are going through a horrible, horrible form of evil, which is human trafficking. And we have to be able to stand on the line as believers, as people that value life…and say, ‘No longer on our watch.’ We [have] got to do something, and we have to do it urgently.”

Earlier this month, Tebow partnered with US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz for new efforts to fight online child exploitation and human trafficking around the world.

“It’s happening in [Americans’] backyard,” Tebow told Fox News. “There are so many predators online that are looking for a vulnerability and an access to a boy or girl so that they can exploit, so that they can lure, so they can groom, so that they can sextort. I really believe it’s one of the worst evils in the world.”

He continued, “Child exploitation requires a response as global as the threat itself. Right now, children around the world are being harmed, and we cannot look away. No child should be invisible, and no predator should be able to hide.”

In March, Tebow spoke to Congress about the need for more protections for children online, as well as a strong response to victims of trafficking.

“Every day, [these children] are praying that we are going to respond,” he said. “But how are we going to respond?”

Tebow’s tireless work to help victims of online exploitation and trafficking is inspiring, encouraging others to join in the fight.
