Tyler Hynes just became only the second Hallmark Channel star to get his own Christmas ornament.
“I just assume nobody wants anything to do with me,” Hynes told EntertainmentNow, describing his gut reaction when Hallmark first approached him last fall about turning his face into a collectible.
Hallmark’s 2026 Tyler Hynes Keepsake Ornament shows the actor as a bust in his signature white henley and black leather jacket, with a candy cane tucked behind one ear. Three small brass charms dangle from the hanger, representing a heart, his dog Rusty and his so-called Boot Shot Tradition, according to Hallmark’s product listing. It retails for $24.99 and ships Oct. 10.
Artists Bruce Bibler and Emma Leturgez-Smith designed the piece, and Hynes said the process took a few tries to get right.
“We went through different iterations of this, and if I showed you the earlier iterations, you would laugh,” he told EntertainmentNow. “One was, like, far too jacked — I looked like a muscular version of myself. And then there was another one where we went the other way, and I looked like a worn-out old man.”
Hynes landed somewhere in between. “I think we landed in a place that looks like it’s in the vicinity — it looks reasonably like me,” he said and quipped, “But finding ways to describe my face, and analyze my face in a way that I’d never wanted to do? I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.”
The ornament follows Hallmark’s 2025 release honoring Lacey Chabert, the first design built around a Hallmark Channel actor rather than a holiday character or pop-culture license. Hynes and Chabert actually go way back: they co-starred in 2020’s WINTER IN VAIL, the movie where Hynes first grew the closely trimmed beard and soul patch now stamped onto his ornament likeness.
Other details on the trinket trace straight back to Hynes’ on-screen history. The black leather jacket nods to 2023’s PICTURE OF HER, and the candy cane behind his ear winks at his role in the THREE WISEST MEN trilogy. Hallmark’s team even offered to smooth over the small scar through his eyebrow, a mark Hynes has carried since childhood, but he asked them to leave it alone.
“Why would anybody hide a scar?” he said. “They’re all just pieces of our face and our stories.”
It’s a small line, but it fits a guy whose appeal has always leaned on being unpolished and real rather than a manufactured leading-man type. Since his Hallmark debut in 2018’s FALLING FOR YOU, Hynes has starred in more than 25 of the network’s movies and built a fan base — nicknamed the “Hynies” — devoted enough to warrant its own documentary currently in the works.
Hynes isn’t slowing down before his ornament hits shelves. He wrapped filming a new Christmas movie earlier this year, and his first Hallmark release of 2026, I’LL BE SEEING YOU, premiered on the network in April.
For a channel built on wholesome, low-drama romance, the ornament is a fitting tribute — a small, sentimental object marking a guy fans have watched grow from newcomer to franchise fixture, scar and all.
