Country singer Tyler Hubbard was a longtime fan of THE CHOSEN, so when he was asked to write a song inspired by the hit series, he jumped at the chance.
“It was just one of those things where a buddy of mine said, ‘Hey, I’ve got the opportunity to let us write a song for THE CHOSEN and if they like it, they might use it for something,’” he told Fox News. “And I thought, ‘Well, that’d be really cool.’ Just something a little different for me.”
Hubbard explained that THE CHOSEN has helped start conversations about faith with his children, explaining, “We talk through all these stories, we talk through all their questions, but then it doesn’t go in one ear and out the other. It really kind of sticks. It could be two years down the road, we’ll be reading a Bible story and they’ll already know it. They’re kind of teaching us or teaching their friends at that point.”
He was excited to hear THE CHOSEN team “really liked the song, and it turned into something special and something I’m proud of and excited to be a part of.”

The song, titled, “All I Need Is You,” is the first single off of an upcoming album filled with tracks inspired by THE CHOSEN. The project is still untitled, but is expected to drop this fall.
In a statement released along with the song, Hubbard shared, “My wife, my three kids and I have a nightly ritual of watching THE CHOSEN. We really got into it! It’s a show that I love and am connected to, so I was really excited to personally be a part of the show and part of the music.”
“‘All I Need Is You’ is a song that’s out of my normal country music box,” he continued. “It’s a song that hits close to home. I think a lot of people can relate to the need for Jesus. To write a song about something that really matters is extra special.”
The album will arrive around the same time as the highly-anticipated sixth season of THE CHOSEN.
“This season is the most important and biggest and heaviest season we’ve ever done,” showrunner and creator Dallas Jenkins said during a recent livestream. “But there’s also moments of pure joy and meaning as well, which you wouldn’t expect in a season about the crucifixion. But I really want you to lean into this.”
THE CHOSEN Season 6 premieres Nov. 15.
