TWILIGHT star Kellan Lutz recently shared his testimony with the Celebrity Evangelist, Dylan Novak, at a meet and greet.
“So my mom raised us Christian, and it was more sort of ‘You have to go to church,’ but I’m grateful for that because church was always like in my heart, and then when I got older, I realized it’s a relationship,” the actor said. “So, I really just got in the word; it’s really good to be in the word daily, especially now that I’m married.”
He and his wife, influencer Brittany Lutz, sit down and read the Bible together every morning. Right now, they are reading the book of Acts. He believes this is the best way he can start his day.
He says that God has placed him in his role as an actor, and he’s found his purpose on movie sets.
“There are always places for conversations to start with other Christians or nonbelievers who used to be Christians or want to know more, and I always find a local church, always trying to bring crew members or cast to it,” he said.
On one set he was on, a young man kept coming to his trailer to get him and saw Lutz’s Bible. He used to be a believer and was encouraged to renew his relationship with the Lord after he saw that Lutz, someone who he looked up to, was a Christian.

“So it’s really powerful just to be a light, be an example, and live on a stage and being a Matthew 5:14-16. That’s one of my favorite verses,” Lutz said. “Even just living by example. People come to these conventions, and fans get to be friends with you because you are just a nice human being; you give them love, and I try to live life really grateful.”
He added that people are encouraged when they go to his socials and see that he’s a Christian.
“I’m just so grateful for God,” he said. “I wouldn’t be an actor if it wasn’t for him. He opened the door and said, ‘Go,’ and I’m like really? And he’s used me to be a light, even when I do movies like TWILIGHT.”
In 2023, the actor told Fox News that his faith means everything to him.
“I don’t know how people who don’t believe in something can have hope in anything,” he added.
His faith helps him feel unified with Brittany and with their decisions as a family.
“I’m so grateful that my wife and I believe the same thing,” he said.
Hollywood needs more people like Lutz.
