On July 8, WHEN CALLS THE HEART’s Pascale Hutton announced that the cast officially started filming Season 14.
“We’re back at it!” she shared in a post revealing one of her character’s costumes.
Main cast members will return, including Erin Krakow as Elizabeth, Kevin McGarry as Nathan, Jack Wagner as Bill, Pascale Hutton as Rosemary, Kavan Smith as Lee, Viv Leacock as Joseph, Natasha Burnett as Minnie, Angela Wong as Mei, Andrea Brooks as Faith, Martin Cummins as Henry, Jaeda Lily Miller as Allie, Hyland Goodrich as Little Jack, Loretta Walsh as Florence and Hrothgar Mathews as Ned, TV Insider said. Lori Loughlin will also return as Abigail Stanton.
“Since the series’ debut in 2014, the character of Abigail Stanton was a fan favorite and beloved by the Hearties,” Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming, Hallmark Media, said in a statement. “At its core, the Hallmark brand is about hope, positivity, and connection, which is also the central theme of WHEN CALLS THE HEART. We felt that Season 14 was the right time to continue Abigail’s story with her return to this beloved series.”
Season 13 ended with Nathan and Elizabeth’s engagement, the Coulters’ goodbye to Gwendolyn and Abigail’s appearance in Hope Valley.
Fans have long awaited an update on Season 14, as Hallmark announced the show’s renewal back in December.

“This is why I keep loving this show. I hope it has many, many more seasons. 🙏🏻🤞🏻❤️,” one person wrote in the comments of the social media announcement. “OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!! THE BEST NEWS I HAVE HEARD IN MY ENTIRE LIFEEEEEEEEEEE,” another person wrote.
The show’s creator, Brian Bird, hinted that everyone shouldn’t be too comfortable with Nathan and Elizabeth. Either they’re going to experience some more drama, or the show may switch to put someone else in the mainframe instead of Elizabeth.
He added, “Michael [Landon Jr., co-creator] and I love all of the writers and are humbled, blessed, and amazed at how the audience has responded to these shows. With my faith and family legacy, we are trying to launch a good show that offers the kind of content that we believe in. We don’t take any of it for granted.”
He’s proud of how far the show has come. It’s not easy to be successful in Hollywood, but somehow, they’ve broken through the barriers.
“What other show can say in Season 13 that it’s getting better?” he added. “Sometimes you feel you are losing steam, but we don’t feel that way about WCTH; it’s only growing and building with each new chapter.”
The show will return sometime in the spring of 2027. The past two seasons premiered in January.
