The 2026 FIFA World Cup is down to its final two matches, and US viewers can find both the third-place game and Sunday’s championship on familiar English- and Spanish-language outlets.
“It’s a settled issue,” Mike Mulvihill, Fox’s president of insights and analytics, said of soccer’s place in the US sports landscape in a Deadline interview about the tournament’s audience. His point is hard to miss as the month-long competition reaches its last weekend.
England will play France in the third-place match Saturday, July 18, at 2 p.m. PT from Miami, according to Deadline’s updated World Cup schedule. Spain and Argentina will meet in the final Sunday, July 19, at noon PT from the New York/New Jersey area.
Fox will carry both matches, with live streaming available through Fox One and the Fox Sports app. Telemundo will offer Spanish-language coverage, while Peacock will stream the Spanish-language broadcasts.
The schedule brings a big tournament to a simple finish for families sorting out their weekend plans. Instead of hunting through a crowded slate of group-stage matches, viewers now have two clear appointments and a championship matchup between Spain and defending champion Argentina.

The 2026 tournament has been unusually large from the start. FIFA’s tournament hub identifies Canada, Mexico and the United States as hosts, while Fox’s earlier coverage plan outlined a 48-team event with 104 matches across 16 sites.
Fox prepared for that scale with a deep on-air lineup. In its pre-tournament announcement, the network said its group included former players Thierry Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Carli Lloyd, Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan, with Rob Stone, Rebecca Lowe, Jules Breach and Pien Meulensteen serving as hosts.
The English-language coverage has also included more than match broadcasts. Fox added FIFA WORLD CUP LIVE and FIFA WORLD CUP TODAY around its games, then sent viewers to a late-night recap hosted by James Corden.
“Every night after the games, we’re going to be trying to have a lighthearted look at the World Cup,” Corden said when Fox announced the show. The former late-night host joined Rio Ferdinand and comedian Ian Karmel for the program, as Deadline reported in May.
On the field, the United States’ run ended in the round of 16 with a loss to Belgium, leaving American viewers to watch the final weekend as neutral fans. That can still be part of the fun: a parent can use the matches to talk with children about teamwork, perseverance, national pride and the grace that should follow either victory or disappointment.
The key details are straightforward. Turn to Fox for the English-language telecasts, Telemundo for Spanish-language coverage and the corresponding streaming services for viewers away from a television. Then settle in; after 104 matches, the World Cup’s final whistle is nearly here.
The final weekend can make room for a little more than sports talk, too. For families, it is a chance to enjoy international competition while reinforcing that character shows in how people play, how they treat opponents and how they handle the result.
