Hallmark announced back in May that HOPE VALLEY: 1874 would return for a second season, but when exactly can fans expect to see it on the small screen?
“I am so thrilled to announce that 1874 is coming back. Season 2,” star Bethany Joy Lenz said in an Instagram video. “We’ll see you in 2027 for an all-new season.”
Her co-star, Benjamin Ayers, thanked fans for their support.
“And I just want to say thank you for being a part of this community,” he said.
Fans of the show couldn’t help but express their excitement in the comment section.

The WHEN CALLS THE HEART prequel series follows Lenz’s Rebecca Clark and her 11-year-old daughter after their leave their hometown for the Western Canadian frontier.
“But when her wagon breaks down, she has no choice but to accept help from local rancher and confirmed bachelor, Tom Moore (Benjamin Ayres),” a synopsis of the show reads, per Hallmark.
“Despite Rebecca’s best intentions to remain unattached, the future she dreams of for her and her daughter along with the people she meets in this fledgling town – including the guarded Tom and tenacious pioneer woman Hattie Quinn (Jill Hennessy) – ultimately compel her to put down roots and make a fresh start,” the synopsis continues. “Also starring in the series are Roan Curtis (FIREFLY LANE) as Hattie’s daughter, Olivia, and Lachlan Quarmby (PROVIDENCE FALLS) as Constable Alexander Vaughn, one of the first members of the newly created Royal Canadian Mounted Police.”
Movieguide® praised the first episode’s “moral worldview that promotes friendship and community.”
“There are a few lightly suspenseful scenes and minor immoral acts,” Movieguide® cautions, “but otherwise, HOPE VALLEY: 1874 presents no objectionable content.”
“HOPE VALLEY: 1874’s dream cast led by Bethany Joy Lenz, Benjamin Ayres and Jill Hennessy has brought to life the rich characters and beautiful story crafted by showrunner Alfonso Moreno,” Michelle Vicary, head of programming, Hallmark Media, said when the Season 2 renewal was announced. “Our fans and press alike have enthusiastically embraced the series, making it especially rewarding to continue telling this story.”
While we don’t know the official Season 2 release date yet, fans can’t wait to get back to Hope Valley sometime in 2027.
