We’re not done celebrating Dolly Parton just yet.
“The Estate of global icon Dolly Parton announced today that the official Team Dolly-produced celebration in Parton’s honor, DOLLYFEST, will take place in Nashville, Tennessee and London, England — across two consecutive weekends — in 2027,” a press release from Parton’s estate announced.
The festival was planned before Parton’s passing, and she was initially set to be a performer. However, now DOLLYFEST will be a celebration of her life and legacy.

“What Dolly started, we will ensure is brought to life,” Danny Nozell, Founder and CEO of CTK Enterprises, said. “Many people behind the scenes know that DOLLYFEST is a dream of Dolly’s that was intended to take place on her 80th birthday in Nashville. We had the venue booked and we had the announcement ready to go. And then, in August 2025, Dolly had to take a step back after her initial health challenges. A lot of people always say, WWDD (What Would Dolly Do?), and, well, at this moment, DOLLYFEST is WDWD (What Dolly Would Do!).”
He added that the team behind this event is “not discouraging people from celebrating Dolly in the ways they choose,” referring to memorial celebrations taking place across the world in the wake of her death.
“However, as far as a traditional memorial goes, that is not something Dolly wanted,” Nozell continued. “So, instead, it feels more appropriate for us to take a beat, let all the tributes that immediately make sense occur naturally, and then, see through this festival-style concept that was truly dreamed up by Dolly. This is something that is authentic to her, something that feels right to me, and something that artists and fans around the world can participate in, while also giving everyone time to grieve, and giving everyone time to plan.”
The country superstar died in August after a private battle with cancer.
“A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth, and kindness that made us all feel like family,” a statement from her estate read. “Dolly Parton’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. With a seven-decade career, she inspired multiple generations of artists and fans with her music and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Her songs will continue to resonate with people of all ages, and her philanthropic work will have a lasting impact.”
Parton was laid to rest shortly after her death in a small ceremony. A rep for the singer said she “had requested a private service, and asked fans and friends who wanted to pay their respects to do so by tagging her on social media or by sharing a donation to her book gifting organization, the Imagination Library.”
More information on tickets and specific dates in 2027 for DOLLYFEST will be released in the coming months.
