Get ready for another Christmas movie from Danica McKellar — the actress is set to star in THE GREATEST CHRISTMAS GIFT.

“This is a beautiful story,” she told Us Weekly, revealing that the movie’s plot is based on O. Henry’s “The Gift of the Magi” story, which is about “a couple loves each other so much that they give up their most prized possession in order to give their spouse what they really wanted for Christmas.”

McKellar continued, “But the problem is that when they give up their most prized possession, it renders mute the gift that their spouse gave them. This story is inspired by that [with] different items.”

A synopsis of the movie reads, “In THE GREATEST CHRISTMAS GIFT, gifted music teacher Emma Harper (McKellar) and her fiancé Caleb Bennett (Matthew Marsden) are preparing for a cherished Christmas wedding when an unexpected setback threatens the future they’ve carefully planned. As their small-town rallies around them and Christmas draws near, the couple discovers that the greatest gifts are not found in perfect circumstances, but in steadfast faith, selfless love, and a community that reminds them hope is always worth believing in.”

McKellar shared that this is “the first” Christmas movie she’s done where her character and her love interest are already together — ”We’re fiancés in this. Of course, we get married at the end, and it’s [a] really beautiful ceremony. It’s a different kind of movie for me.”

McKellar said she can’t reveal “too much” about THE GREATEST CHRISTMAS GIFT’s plot but said the “tragedy of ‘The Gift of the Magi’ is not played so much as a tragedy in this movie.”

“You will still feel all warm and fuzzy and happy at the end, and that’s because the community comes together,” she said.

Bill Abbott, President & CEO of Great American Media, shared a statement: “Danica McKellar has become one of the most cherished, trusted stars of Great American Christmas because audiences know the stories she tells will leave them encouraged, uplifted, and inspired.”

“Together with Matthew Marsden, THE GREATEST CHRISTMAS GIFT beautifully reflects our commitment to creating stories where faith, family, and hope are at the center,” he continued. “At Great American Media, we are proud to be the only major entertainment company unapologetically dedicated to faith, telling stories that reflect the hope we share in one another.”

McKellar has previously spoken about why she loves making Christmas movies, telling GOOD MORNING DALLAS, “These movies make you feel good. They’re about a simpler time almost. It shows you the best in human nature, these movies.”

THE GREATEST CHRISTMAS GIFT premieres Nov. 29.
