Actress Anna Faris says conversations with her son Jack have made her open to accepting Jesus as her savior.
“He is religious,” the actress said of her son, who she shares with ex-husband Chris Pratt, on an episode of the “Dear Chelsea” podcast. “I didn’t grow up with religion. He’s asked me to accept Jesus Christ [as my savior].”
Faris added, “I told him I would do anything for him, including this, but it’s going to take a whole lot of long conversations.”
While the actress shared that she does “challenge” him on things, Faris called her son “impressive” in his arguments, adding, “I’m appreciative that he’s examining religion the way he is.”
“I’m appreciative that we can have these long conversations,” she concluded.

Faris has previously spoken about how much she admires Jack, telling E! News, “I am proud that he has a deep sense of justice, and I find him just fascinating.”
“I’m so lucky. I’m just so lucky that I have this incredible, fascinating boy,” she continued. “I hope I’m doing OK [as a mother].”
Pratt is also a Christian and has shared how, following Jack’s birth, he gave his life to Christ.
“The most impactful moment was when my son was born,” he told FOX & FRIENDS. “He was born early and had some health scares, and in that moment, I really made some deals with God, as you do when you’re praying, and I felt like if You save my son, I will give You everything. I’ll give You my life. I’ll give You my platform. I won’t be ashamed to talk to You or talk about You. And He did save my son, and I’ve been trying to make good on that promise ever since.”
In an interview with the Christian Post, the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY shared, “I’m a father of four. I want to raise my children with an understanding that their dad was unashamed of his faith in Jesus and with a profound understanding of the power of prayer, and the grace and the love and the joy that can come from a relationship with Jesus.”
“You don’t hear that a lot from people in entertainment, but it’s who I am,” Pratt continued. “I’m not going to hide behind it. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.”
While Faris has still not accepted Jesus, the actress’ willingness to have these conversations with her son is a promising start.
