OVER THE MOON IN LOVE is a wholesome autumn romance about high school friends who reconnect 12 years after graduation. Since high school, Brooklyn Moore has had a knack, a “nose-to-toes” tingle, about who will hit it off and fall in love. Her friend, Devin Knight, a dorky musician, doubts Brooklyn will ever find someone for him. Brooklyn promises the girl for him is out there in the world, and she will ultimately bring them together.
Twelve years later, Brooklyn runs her matchmaking business, called Over the Moon in Love, while Devin just returned from Europe. He emails Brooklyn with the intent of telling her that he’s been in love with her. Meanwhile, a prestigious magazine wants to interview Brooklyn for its article, perhaps putting her on the cover. Stephanie, the reporter, demands Brooklyn set her up with Devin or she will tell the publisher, who happens to be Stephanie’s father, not to put Brooklyn on the cover.
Brooklyn lies to Devin and Stephanie to try to convince them she felt that “nose-to-toes” tingle that they should be together. Though Devin and Stephanie go on a few romantic outings, the chemistry just isn’t there. However, Stephanie demands that Brooklyn keep helping her impress Devin, even if it involves more lying.
Brooklyn hates that she’s lying and wants to come clean. However, Stephanie says Brooklyn will lose the magazine cover if Brooklyn stops helping Stephanie woo Devin. Brooklyn and Devin know each other so well that Devin thinks he’s falling in love with Stephanie when Stephanie keeps parroting Brooklyn’s answers.

OVER THE MOON IN LOVE is a wholesome, entertaining romance for anyone looking for something sweet to pass the time. The acting is serviceable and the plot could use some work, but the original songs give the movie an extra flair. A strong moral worldview is presented as Brooklyn suffers the consequences of lying, but, in the end, forgiveness overcomes. OVER THE MOON IN LOVE has some Romantic elements, however, as Brooklyn depends on following her heart when it comes to matchmaking.
