Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt is lending her voice to Scripture.
The author and actress announced this week that she’s narrating the newest chapter of Hallow’s SAINTS IN 7 DAYS series, an audio journey through the life of Ruth, the Old Testament widow whose loyalty became one of the Bible’s most quoted declarations of faith.
“Hallow time! I’m excited to share that I’m voicing the newest Saints in 7 Days series on Hallow, all about the life of Ruth. Available today!” Schwarzenegger Pratt wrote on Instagram, alongside a video of herself in a recording studio with a Bible open on her lap.
The post, part of a paid partnership between Schwarzenegger Pratt and Hallow, lays out the story for anyone who needs a refresher. Ruth’s husband died young, leaving her and her mother-in-law Naomi widowed with nothing. Naomi urged Ruth to return to her own family and start over, but Ruth wouldn’t hear of it.
“Wherever you go I will go, your people shall be my people, and your God, my God,” Schwarzenegger Pratt quoted, referencing Ruth 1:16, before noting that Ruth chose to stay by Naomi’s side in a foreign land rather than walk away.

SAINTS IN 7 DAYS first launched on Hallow in 2022 and quickly became one of the app’s most requested features, according to EWTN News. Rather than reciting a straightforward biography, the series unfolds a saint’s story over a week, letting listeners sit with the pivotal moments that shaped a life of faith.
Previous seasons have covered Padre Pio, Mother Teresa, Louis and Zelie Martin and Martin de Porres. The most recent revival featured Elizabeth Tabish, who plays Mary Magdalene on THE CHOSEN, narrating that saint’s story for the app.
Ruth isn’t a canonized Catholic saint in the traditional sense — she’s a biblical figure from the Old Testament’s Book of Ruth — but her story has long been held up in both Jewish and Christian tradition as a model of steadfast love, or what the Hebrew Bible calls “hesed.” Hallow’s decision to give her the same seven-day treatment as canonized saints speaks to how central her example still is for believers wrestling with loss, loyalty, and starting over.
